To call them ingredients … is inadequate

A natural sugar with a low glycaemic index, it’s gluten-free and rich in micro-nutrients.

Origins

Coconut sugar, also known as coconut palm sugar, is produced starting from the sap the buds of coconut palm flowers. In the regions of South and South-East Asia, where the coconut palm grows and thrives in abundance, coconut sugar has been used for thousands of years as a traditional sweetener.

Coconut sugar, a powerful natural sweetener

Coconut sugar, not being refined, maintains its natural brown colour together with minerals and vitamins such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, zinc, iron and vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B6. Coconut sugar has a low glycaemic index; in fact, it contains inulin, which slows down the absorption of sugar into the blood.
